Concrete Curing Timeline: A Quick Guide
While many factors influence the curing process, here’s a general timeline to help you gauge when your concrete will be ready for use:
24-48 hours – You’ll be able to carefully walk or drive on your new concrete surface. Perfect for getting the car back in the garage or accessing your front door!
7 days – Your concrete will be more than halfway through the curing process, reaching approximately 70% strength. You can now safely move heavier objects onto it or start light landscaping around the edges.
28 days – By this point, your concrete will have reached nearly full strength. It’s now ready for heavy loads, furniture, or the construction of any permanent structures.
